Central Texas White Bass Fishing
White Bass aka Sand "Tiger" Bass
These are a mean hard fighting little devil fish. They attack a bait like no other fish that has ever
swimmed. Their voracious appetites cannot be quenched until much blood is in the water. These
toothy denzens of the deep will test your metal and strain your fishing gear to the limit. All joking
aside, White bass are alot of fun to fish for. One of the best things about them is that they are usually
cooperative. We all like to catch giant fish, but this can be very challenging and time consuming. We
like to focus on families, children, and youth anglers. Because of this, White Bass are sometimes the
perfect fish for groups that just want to get out on the water and have a good time catching fish. Large
White Bass are in the range of 14-15 inches, but what they lack in size they more than make up for in
numbers. When we are targeting whites, we will troll until we find good schools and then either cast
jigs and slabs or drop live baits to them on a drift. First time anglers and children will find them to be
willing participants.

Lake Whitney-

Fishing for White Bass on Lake Whitney is usually action packed. It's large surface area, abundant
rockpiles and submerged drop-offs are great habitat for the Whites. The size of most whites taken
from Lake Whitney is around 13".

Navarro Mills-

Navarro Mills can produce some large white Bass. Though a small lake, Navarro Mills has abundant
fish habitat. When targeting white bass on Navarro Mills we work our deep water troll line to locate
schooling fish. Once found we either continue trolling or switch over to other methods like vertical
jigging or drifting.

Richland Chambers-

Richland Chambers is loaded with white bass. Being the 3rd largest lake in Texas, and one of the
youngest, habitat is at its peak! On most days finding a limit of white bass is not to hard.
